In the summer of 2017 it was the time we got hit by this enormous wave of inspiration, starting from a little graphic adaptation we created which resulted in a whole batch of designs that eventually assembled the Tokyo collection. The overall idea included design elements inspired by Japanese typo elements, manga and anime art with reference to skateboarding and street culture.

The collection was due to be released in spring 2020 before the Tokyo Olympics and the landmark of the inclussion of skateboarding in the Olympic sports. Which was eventually delayed due to the pandemic and caused a total chaos in the communication and publicity of the hidden gems we stacked.

In this process we searched for an artist that could collaborate with us and represent the modern idea of the aesthetics presented in the collection, that lead us to Selina Hanei. Selina is a tatto artist keeping her mind and hands all over the Japanese aesthetics and manga - anime designs owner of Arcane Tattoo studio based in the heart of Athens, Greece.

Briefing and talking and various attempts, took us on an endeless dialogue which gave birth to a few unique designs that we kept in our archives ever since.
